Ok, i just installed a new graphics card on my friends computer, and it works fine, just the Taskbar, ummm, how to say it, doesnt EXIST. Its not there! Cant press windows symbol on keyboard either, it doesnt work. Can anyone help me?
Try going to your task manager (Ctrl + Alt + delete) and going to the applications tab, then go new task and type in explorer. that may work because it works when ever mine goes away.
thats not the porblem, i change the resolution and it still doesnt show
Perhaps the screen is stretched to far down. Most monitors have that funcky menu button and an up/down or side/side button. You can use that to shift the actual size of the image on the monitor screen (as opposed to the resolution).

Maybe the add-on adapter acted as a second screen, so the taskbar remained on your "primary" (integrated) adapter while the icons moved to the "secondary" (pci/agp) adapter because it had a screen attatched to it? I know on my laptop that happens...
