Hey i did the whole desoldering thing,shorted 5+6 OOPS ,when i put the batt in the green power light comes on without me swicthing it on .still need to buy a card reader to make a mem stick,but so far does this seem normal,or do i have to also buy a new batt.

The photo is way too blurry. On the chip there should be a little dot on one side of the chip. If that dot is on the left side of the chip in the photo, then yes, the pin the arrow you pointed to is correct.

Don't you know how to take a picture ? LOL 90% of the screen is the table ! Was your aim to capture the shadow of the battery or what ?? Damn... Try switching the phone's resolution to 320x240 (from "Picture size" or something like that) and press up to see if you can zoom in or out.

Install it, the only thing you wont get is the Aero interface, which isn't that necessary really, and slows down performance a bit'.
