I'd definitely be willing to try and take more off but that last bit was all I needed for everything to fit. Thank you though, I must have missed that, I'll go look it up for future's sake.

UPDATE: Okay guys, I went ahead and removed the part of the board highlighted and everything seems to be in working order still. My problem is resolved. Keep in mind I am using a separate audio amp.

EDIT: I resolved my problem. It WAS the SNES. I had a third one up in a shelf missing some parts that I just replaced with the one giving me video problems. Wola, my problem is solved! Nothing was wrong with the screen at all. Now I have a spare one!

Does anyone have a motherboard in good condition from a PSOne screen lying around that they'd like to sell?

I have the LCD, but I have a hunch that the board is giving me a few problems, the screen seems to be in good shape.

The screen is getting around 7.51V and the SNES 4.9V.

I probably should mention that prior to taking the screen apart I received a used PSOne along with it. When I first tried it ghostly green trails lingered off everything (when it was normally connected the the PSOne.) Well I tried it again later ...

I've had this finished since last October, and I'm pretty proud of it. I constructed the case from plywood, is six feet tall, has a CRT monitor (to use the light gun) and inside is just a computer that runs a program on start up.

Thanks for the link, but I already own his book. The problem's not with finding the audio sources on the SNES, but how to connect them properly to the three wires shown coming out from the screen.
