I'm not really sure whether this belongs here or the Portable screen hacking section, but I've got this problem.
From my SNES portable: On the output lines of Red and Green (formally just red, but now it's green too) I'm getting 4.3 volts or so where it connects to the screen. Ideally (I believe) it's around .9-1.2 or so. When it happened to red, the red signal got noticeably weaker on the screen (it was still there, but weak). It's the same with green now. Blue seems to be just fine. Thing is, the extra voltage is being added from the screen, because if I detach either of them, the voltage goes down to what I believe to be normal. I know for sure it's not from the SNES. I have the capacitors and resistors wired no problem. I just don't get it. There was no problem previously and it was very sudden. Screen and SNES are getting proper voltages etc.
EDIT: Oh yeah, my question: How did that extra voltage to the screen's RGB-in get there?
While I'm at it, I'll share a few of my in progress photos, including my custom laser engraved case (of which the design is based off of Ben's).
Once I get this cleared, I just attach the D-pad, remove the controller ports (P2 will stick out the side), add the shoulder buttons and re-wire the cartridge slot. It's getting close to being finished.
