Well, my first question to you is what batteries are you using? Also, are you using a PSOne screen or something else?

Hi Joe, thanks for responding!

Actually, I am not using batteries yet, I am powering the whole assembly from the Jaguar's AC adapter. The LCD is getting power from the Jaguar's ...

I've been reading over this topic hoping to find some answers, but I have found absolutely nothing which helps me. Can someone please point out where the audio amp is and which traces I would go about isolating? Or at least tell me which chip or circuit the audio amp is so I can figure out how to ...

Yup, the LED mod will do it. It was an over-voltage problem. I'm running the LCD outside of the lightbox now and the picture looks great, as long as I hook up a 12-ohm resistor along the voltage input. Hopefully I won't have to do that once I start running it off of batteries, as the resistor runs ...

I dunno, but I was just able to disassemble my LCD panel using my bare hands. If I got fingerprints or dust under there I'll just deal with it.

Hmm... I'm wondering since the problem seems to be occurring when the backlight is on and not when it's off if something as simple as the LED mod could fix it. I'll try that.

Re: Cheap 3.2" LCD TFT Screen

I came across this item being sold on amazon, thought i'd share it, for $20 it seems like a great deal for using for portables, and for anything else you'd like to use it for i guess:

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but when you click on the ...

From the Jaguar's power switch. I guess that wasn't clear?

EDIT: As for the Jaguar itself, I am using the wall adapter.

PSone LCD problem, grey bars

Hi, I'm having a problem with my PSone LCD and was hoping someone here would be able to help.

I currently have my LCD soldered up to the power switch on my Atari Jaguar. Whenever I turn on the Jaguar, the LCD comes on and I do get a picture (I am using the composite in). At first the picture was in ...

And I don't need the PSone itself, 'cause that's not what I'm making the portable of.
Ya, I didn't need the PSone, but it came with it and I just recently got a PSX and some stuff so I can test it now. Good luck with your DCp, not many of those have been made.

I already decided it's not going to ...

Hm, looks like thay want to charge me $20 for the sample as well. With EMS shipping, the total would be $45.

Luckily, I found a PSone screen on ebay for $27.55 including shipping (Media Mail, slower than anything I know, but at least it's tons more reliable than it was two years ago). It's a new ...

Yes, they're going to send me a sample board, I just have to pay freight charges.

I e-mailed the manufacturer and asked them to send me a sample. Hopefully their e-mail still works (their website doesn't).

Hey, it worked when I wanted a sample of some LED backlighting. A package containing the sample mysteriously showed up a few weeks later.

Well, it looks like I won't be able to use this controller. I hooked it up the way I thought it should be, and the only thing that actually worked was the backlight.

I still might be able to use the screen though. I found a PDF online for a different brand of crontroller for this specific ...
