It's on the back of the board, near the upper left-hand corner. Rather isolated. But the problem is I think it's a capacitor, which you need a special instrument to measure the value of.

Awesome, thanks. Yeah, I found out the audio data must have been coming though from the apu, but not making it through due to one of the other chips nearer the rear of the board not having power. So yeah, like you said. Thanks again!

Naw, power's back up but U6 is still down. Although I did pull off the 7805 and tap power from the PS1 screen (the 7805 closer to where the backlight inverter was). Do you know if the SNES needs power on its own 7805 input?

No idea; I'm not getting an output from the L or R audio outputs of U6, though my batteries just died on me, so testing will have to wait. However, this might also mean that it was just low power cutting into the audio functions...maybe?

Does anyone know the pinout to U10 on the mini SNES? You know, the one that says S-MIX on it. I'm not getting even the faintest signal out of pins 11 and 12 on the normal output (probably pulled a contact, though it would affect both I don't know), but there are a couple of audio signals coming out ...

I hope you realize that with any older console, the screen is almost guaranteed to be the most expensive part.

There's no way around it, LCD comes with a price, and 60 seems reasonable to me.

Unless you know the type of DC-DC converter you would need, you're going to need a bunch of batteries (and different regulators if you want to be safe)
