Re: Help with n64 portable pt 1
OK. So it's been a while and after getting used to the new school and whatnot I think I'm ready to get back on track for my Portable N64. First off is to open it. I recently tried to open it with the suggestions above. I'm finding that melting the pen isn't working for me. Any other ideas besides ...

Re: Help with n64 portable pt 1
I need to open up the N64.. :/ Any ideas? I heard somewhere to use a Bic pen but that doesn't seem to be working. Also pliers don't work because of the roundish tip of the screw. Unless anybody knows how to get a 4.5mm Gamebit somewhere in Brazil I need some makeshift ideas.

Re: Help with n64 portable pt 1
I worded that pretty badly. What I meant was how do I wire the protection circuit to the rest of the stuff but Adum answered my question. The only materials I think I need now is the ps1 screen and some copper for the cooling.

Re: Help with n64 portable pt 1
Alright. So I got the dvd player and it's like 7.4w or something but how do I wire the batteries to include the protection circuit?

Re: Help with n64 portable pt 1
I'm confused. Isn't the step down regulator the thing from ti? Or the 1808 thing in the diagram eagle posted? I'm going to assume the ohm resister and the thing from ti are necisary for the portable either way. Could somebody confirm that these batteries I'm getting will wire up the same way as they ...

Re: Help with n64 portable pt 1
Ok, so I have one day and there is a lot to do. Hopefully I can get an answer ASAP. I found one of those polaroid portable dvd players model B51A, how would the battery in that do?

Re: Help with n64 portable pt 1
Yes, gather everything I need here before we head off. Anything electronic related is massively over priced there not the mention in Portuguese so it would be quite troublesome.

Re: Help with n64 portable pt 1
I think I'd also like to get those rubber tipped tact buttons, know where I can get them? I already went to radioshack but they didn't have the same kind. I picked up the 2.5mm high ones but I don't think they'd give enough space to click when pressing the buttons.

Re: Help with n64 portable pt 1
Sorry if double posts anger you but I had an edit and it wasn't noticed. What kind of clear board was the guy using in the video to keep the d-pad in place? I couldn't quite understand with his accent. and can I buy it at radioshack or some kind of simple store say home depot?

Re: Help with n64 portable pt 1
What I meant was when I cut the holes in the top of the case, I hope to have the a button, b button, etc instead of the bare button I would buy from radioshack. And also was adum right with the black pads under the button? As in, is that where I set up the button?
