yep its the big board down the side, VCC is from the battery, GND is ground, - is the 18v in reverse and + is 5v

i actually used the step mode power regulator from the original gameboy, its able to keep a true 5v even when the batteries drop to as low as 3v i think, maybe even less, its a very good regulator. i used it to power the backlight too as it has an 18v output too This peice of info might be very ...

wow, i had no idea you used an snes mini for this thing! very impressive man. your best bet to power it would be a couple lipoly batteries, as 4AAs probably wont cut it voltage wise, the snes mini can run on 5v or a little less just fine but the voltage drop on rechargable AAs is pretty big, i ...

if you really want you can pick up the audio before it leaves the super gameboy thats easy enough to do,

but i have a snes mini with the super gameboy, and the sound works fine but i get a lot of buzzing in the speakers,

i dont want to use anything other than normal batteries, the screen can do it because there is 5 volts all over the board, but i cant get it to boot.
