New here, snes project

Post by NeX »

Hi everyone,

i have been lurking on the forums for a while just enjoying the things you guys come up with, but now i have decided to have a go myself.

i am normally more into gameboy modification, i have a gameboy that can run two carts at the same time and switch between them...
but one thing the gameboy cant do easily is give me a TV out. so my idea was to use a super gameboy and make it portable.

i am currently in the process of building a snes mini into something nice and so far it is going well, the snes is running nicely on 4AA batteries,

but my problems are getting the screen to run off the batteries, i bought a neat little screen from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :MEBDIX:IT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and with the multimeter i can find 5v fairly early in the board but when i apply 5 volts there the screen boots up and the switches off and repeats, its like it doesn't have enough power to stay on....

anyway, my main plan was to solder the super gameboy straight to the snes to have a permenent super gameboy, but i am starting to think otherwise now because it works so well. what do you people think?

i will put some pics up later, the camera just died
