That sounds familiar, I think that's probably why I knocked the cap off to begin with as I did the LED mod.
Still no workie. Looking at my previous and shameful work, it looks like I messed up the caps next to it as well. Could there be a solution out of this new evidence? It looks like I knocked ...

Can I salvage this PSOne Screen?
I started an N64 portable 2 years ago, when I had a much less steady hand and not a lot of space. I ended up messing up the screen (a PSOne screen) and quitting the project. Now it's time to revisit it.
I had knocked a capacitor off a part of the board, which messed up the screen's ability to show ...

Car DC-DC conversion
I'm working on a project for my car that uses 2 voltages, 1.5V and 4.5V. If possible, I'd like 1.5V for when the car is off (battery only,) and 4.5V when the power's on. Aside from buying 12V->1.5 and 4.5 DC-DC converters or using resistors, any suggestions? How do I make the 4.5V work only when the ...

Sorry, the forums are messed up or I'd have responded sooner.
Where did you put the caps in to make it work on the PSOne screen?
The power isn't the problem, I used both the PS it came with and then an DC-DC converter (which actually is putting too much voltage through, I measured the AC adaptrer ...

PSOne No Color
Ok, I'm really stumped on this one. I've asked before and done tons of both prodding and research, but I can't figure it out. My PSOne screen won't show my 64's color. I have reason to believe the N64 is fine (since composite outs still show color to my TV) and the PSOne screen itself is fine (since ...

I used the V, there's L R and V and GND on the 64 so I'm using V for the video, I know it's right since I have a switch to go out to composite ports which works fine. I thought I had the cap completely cleaned off and put back on correctly, but it's almost too small to be certain, so I was wondering ...

PSONe Screen Questions
Ok, I did the LED mod as described in the "Hacking the PSOne screen" page and all is well, though when I put the bridge wire over the capacitor i knocked the one to the immediate right off, and was able to reconnect it (whew) When I put it all back together, I get no color from the signal (so the ...
