the blue is just from my camera.
on the front, it says: "AUO" and it's partially engraved into the silver area

ok, i got the white LED's (4 total and 7000mcd each), and some wiring, i have solder and all that, unfortunately, Radioshack here has absolutely F*%$ing nothing, so i'm still needing the triple screwdriver which i'll buy online. I'm also going to look up more tutorials on how to do it, if you guys ...

thanks very much, i'll look up how to do this.
updated goals:
-get necessary tools/wires/LED's/Etc.
-Repaint case
-backlight (and glare resist)
-red LED's behind the d-pad and buttons (have outside glow if possible, i don't want to switch from using what i already have)

going to try a GBC hack
i just got a new gameboy color and thought: hey, lets use my old one for kindling, then decided i'd try a few things out on it.
i've never done a console or portable hack/mod or anything, my ultimate goal is this:
-make the GBC about half it's original size, or at least smaller
