I think he means that the small m means "milli" and the big M means "mega"
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Sparkfist, I'm guessing you meant 350MHz. 350mHz would take about a month to start DSL, let alone OSX.

Sorry, I'm just picky about units of measurement.
Do you even own a Mac? I dont think so so unless you've come in contact with one or better yet have you even run something like BSD or linux? They take about 2 minutes (as you have to boot the GUI seperatly) not a year. Also DSL will not work on a Mac its stricly x86.

Now as for time of load. Yes we all know the Xbox isnt going to run Mac OS X well as its emulating hardware and lacks sufficant ram. I suggested XDSL as its fluxbox GUI uses less ram, its a minimulist distro and DSL which its based off is able to run on 64mb ram no problem.

If you really want to make it look like your running Mac OS X on your Xboxl; buy a macmini and put it in there. You'll have the hardware no problem and it will have better ventilation.
Calm down Sparky, vb_Master was just being pedantic. As Gamelver pointed out, the capitalization use affects the meaning of the abbreviation. Just like having 1.5 Mb DSL doesn't mean you can download at 1.5 MB/s, but at .1875 MB/s.

Plus the FriendTech DreamX-1480 would probably boot MacOSX on a XBox way fast.

Gamelver's right. And just so you know, I have used Macs, and I hate them, and I do use Linux. I'm using Linux right now. And I didn't say anything about running DSL on a Mac, I was just pointing out that even if they did make a 350milli-hertz processor, it couldn't run anything.

Do you even listen to what you say? Or do find yourself just talking sometimes, the rest of you being completely unaware of this?

Hahah. ZING!

Peter: Well, I'm gettin' something really special too. And by special I don't mean special like that Kleinaman boy down the street. More special like... like Special K, the cereal. Hey, what do they do with the regular K? And for that matter, what ever happend to K. Ballard? You know, if you said mallard and you had a cold, it would sound like ballard.
Brian: Do you listen to yourself when you talk?
Peter: I drift in and out

Your joking about the speed right? I have a G3 thats clocked at 350mH it runs fine at that, my problem is ram.
Nope. Honest, there's a way to get OSx on an old PowerMac. It involves installing software patches and running programs to get the installer to think the Powermac has the right specs for it.

It just needs tons and tons of space and memory (in relation to the age of the computer)

I saw it in an article in MacAddict magazine a few years ago.

Or do you mean the 1 ghz remark? yeah I overestimated it there. I forgot about the clock cycle difference between Macs and IBM compatibles.

Yeah Mac OS X was first released on the iMac that ran 266MHz. They ran slow, however with the increased speed over the years its run better. And yes I've read about them getting OS X on 6550 Power Mac which is slow like 125MHz.

I found this guide today.

I will stick with linux but for fun I am going to do this anyways :)

How to install Windows 98 on your xbox.
http://www.pspupdates.com/windows-98-on-xbox.html

This tutorial uses Qemu which is many times faster than Bochs. This makes it fast enough to be useable.
