So, what does everyone think of Apple's new Xbox 360?

and if you can turn it on with the controller, you could just sit outside and turn on the person's xbox360

The xbox360 is pretty cool but they should wait a year so they are some what close to the launch of the ps3 but its possible that they will make a better or smaller version of the xbox 360 around the release of the ps3 so they will come out ahead.

And from what i saw on mtv the xbox 360 looked pretty cool but the wireless controllers are a little big and bulky they will probably suck down battery life and i alo noticed that they replaced the black and white buttons with L1 and R1 butons above the triggers.

They should also have wireless connection to your tv instead of av cables. That way, You could drive up next to someones house. Turn on their xbox360, then play it on your cars tv. Or even better, play it on your cars projector tv. (In the scion T2B concept). Or even better yet, project it onto their house. Howdya like them apples (ha ha. get it. this is in the Apple Xbox360 thread. Okay Ill stop making stupid jokes.)

Hey I just checked out the official Xbox 3.1415926535897932384626433832795 site from Microsoft. It DOES NOT use next-generation HD-DVD type discs, just plain old DVD's.

FLOP! FLOP! Hell even the Nintendo Revoltinglution is supposed to use HD, isn't it? All the Microsoft site talking about is "customizing" and "a part of your digital hub" BS... what about playing GAMES???

RE: releasing Halo when the PS3 launches, Sony did the same thing with Final Fantasy 8 coming out on the launch of the Dreamcast.

Seriously, wouldn't DVDHD take up some crazy amount of space? (like that 700MB file I set to downlaod all weekend at school at 1k/sec.)

ok, there is no way that the new x-box is going to ship with all that hardware they are showing off currently...M$ is still in the dreamer stage, all consoles before they are relesed boast features you often dont see in a public release...i highly doubt that an x-box is going to have 3 dual core p4's and have a self contained water cooling system all in side that skinny ass looking box...

i predict the death of a M$ console this round of console wars, i can see sony doing as they normally do and nintendo gaining some ground they had lost...

also M4 hasnt had much time to devlope it compared to the other systems....x-box came out after every thing else practically and then they are trying to rush out this new system first?....some time in devlopment can go a long way other than rushing it and yea sure they may have a lot of money but i am sure sony and nintendo have more experence making consoles...

Doofus, it will be water-cooled, but you're right, there will be no P4s.
The Xbox 360 uses 3 dual-cored IBM PowerPC-based processors running at 3.2Ghz, not any Intel Pentium crap at all.

I think the 360 is gonna be a good gaming machine. I have owned all three of the current gen systems, and have sold them all except for my xbox. The xbox has the kind of games I like. Microsoft and other publishers have provided me with thousands of hours of entertainment which is why my pre-order for the 360 is already secured. I have no fan boy affiliation whatsoever, and hope all three next gen consoles succeed. If they do, it is we the gamers, that will benefit.

Is it just me or does Microsoft love rushing things? (Halo 2, E3 2001 Demos, XBOX 360, most announcements Bill Gates Makes, etc.)
If X360 is going to be another XBOX, It will be better later in its life when all the first titles are cheap and more options are available.
Did they say it was going to be $300 or is it more?
What would it include for $300? (1 system, 1 controller, hopefully a RGB/Component cable or just the system. Controllers and cables sold seperatly with XBOX live service)
