But secondary school starts at 13-14, ends at 17-18. Unless you're some form of genius.

So? I did that. Actually, since it was a summer course, I technically went to college before high school.

Also: masterclas is from England. Here's a conversion chart for ya: :wink:
US, Elsewhere in the world
grade school=primary school
middle school=secondary school
high school=college
college=university

...iirc. I could be wrong on a few of those. But I do distinctly remember the high school=college one from a French class I took.

But anyway, back on topic. Expect to learn a bunch about Ohm's law, Kirchoff's current and voltage laws, and other stuff typically helpful to basic electronics. I didn't get any soldering help from my first electronics class :( but yours could be different. Soldering is best learned by practice anyway, so if you want to learn to solder properly, look at a few online guides then just start soldering stuff!

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. That makes more sense. I thought secondary school was High School. :roll: Well, still though... 15? Don't most people start high school at 14? Or even 13?

I don't know about the rest of the country/world but here's what the grades look like in MA (with approximate ages):

Kindergarten - Age 6
Elementary school - Grades 1 through 5 - Age 7 to 11
Middle school - Grades 6 through 8 - Age 12-14
High school - Grades 9 to 12 - Age 15 to 18

That's how it is I think in all of New England. What about schools that do like 6 weeks of school and 1 week of vacation all year long with out summer vacations?

Are those ages approximate for September or June? Sounds like June to me.

For the benheckers still in college:

A lot of states offer some sort of program where you can take college classes instead of high school classes. Then you get real college credits and high school credits at the same time. About 6 of us at my school do it and its great. They pay for your classes and your books. Might wanna look into it. In Ohio its called PSEO.
