Solder the positive side to the 5V from the 7805's "O" pin, and the negative leg to the grounding strip along one of the sides, going though a resistor. It should look like this:

Code: Select all

7805(O pin)-------LED-----RESISTOR------Grounding strip
The resistor can go on either side of the LED, but it has to be equal to or greater than the value found using this formula:

R=(B-F)/I
R is the minimum resistor value you need, P is your battery voltage, F is the voltage used by your LED, and I is the max current that your LED can handle.

I have to save that formula and description, because I am tired of typing it out.

What part don't you get? I can't explain it any simpler than that, and I can't find any pics that clearly show the 7805.

its possible to piggyback off the power led aswell....just be careful not to put too much of a load on it

if you piggyback them make sure that all the LEDs from the same kind.

explanation:

green standard LEDs need less power then blue superbright LEDs
you can't mix em without some more resistor(s).
