Trying to get homebrew running on your PSP? Want to add a screen light to your Game Boy? Trying to figure out how to work your GP2X? By popular demand, discuss it in here! (This forum is for pre-built handhelds, NOT custom made portables!)
Another idea is that you could use it as a real big Gameboy Micro. You could play GBA games on the bottom screen without needing to use the top screen.
If the top and bottom screens are similar enough, maybe you could wire up some kind of switch so that you can toggle between displaying the top and bottom screens on the remaining touch screen. Then you could still play DS games that just use the bottom screen as a menu.
or I could just buy a new ribbon for like 7€ and have a functional DS. But that's not good enough. I already have a functional DS lite. I want to do something cool! Come on, guys, where's your creativity?
Take a gameboy original, cut it into a front face and a bottom face. Use bondo to attack the DS Case/hinges to it, and have it look like a normal gameboy... Until you open it!
Creative enough? Or, make a DS projector, I have made one with crap optics (Read: plastic toy parts), so expect to spend at least $20 in optics to look nice, plus a good light source.
You could give it to me! If you're willing to part with it, maybe you should hold a contest of some sort, and give it to the winner. Probably not the suggestion you're looking for, but just a suggestion...Happy face.

This would be awesome with a relocated cart slot for GBA in the normal cart spot and the DS slot in the battery holder. It might have to be a little fatter than a GBO, but maybe not.
I agree with that person who said big gb micro. All you have to do is bridge two pins or something. And, YOUR BACK!?!!1?
