Re: My retro duo snesp EDIT: COMPLETE FAILURE
I will not be giving up on this. However, there are a few other projects I would like to finish before this, so I will buy an fc-twin and finish this in a month or so. It will not have a relocated cart slot.

Ok, I got an fc twin, and i need help powering the snes board by itself. You see, unlike the retro duo, the spots where the ribbon cabel is connected are not labled, leaving me clueless to where to connect power, audio, and video. And no, I am not that good at tracing traces.

Not much of an update, but I bought a zenith screen today. I decided to save the hipgear screen for a noac portable instead because it seemed a bit too small for this portable.

UPDATE!!!.
I decided to get to work on the case today. Like LOB, I used just a drill, a few files and an x-acto knife for this. I feel that taking your time with these tools proves much better results than speeding along using a dremel.

Here is the Fc-twin's p2 port.

Yes, those are gameboy buttons as L and R. I think the dark pink looks good with the black.

I have the power switch hot glued in place. It's positioning is a little off, but it still looks fine.

The L button. I have the tact switch and it's pcb held down with hot glue. Now don't go crazy on me saying that the hot glue will just come off, because it won't. This hot glue dries like a rock and is near impossible to detatch from the plastic. Plus I used a lot of the stuff.
That's all for now. I'll try to work on this more on monday.

Isn't that a fantastic feeling? Nice, shiny new screen or console system just waiting to be torn apart and rewiredthemadhacker wrote:The screen came today. A brand new in box zenith xbox one. I can't wait to progress on this some more.

I know. It feels great. Too bad this screen never even got connected to an xbox before being mutilated, though it did get tested with my psx and snes.
