I can't find the resistance value of r1 and the capacience value of c1 and c17 I melted them off  and has anyone ever successfully put the little black connector thing on the touch screen back into a different mobo? I can't get it back in...

Are you talking about the DS or DS Lite? I'm not going to make any quick openings, but if you confirm what version you're talking about, I'll make sure to go check!

Ahh, it's under the cart slot...

I've got a dead DSL motherboard though, I could check on that for you later. Unfortunatly I can't check capacitance. I could at least check R1 for you!

You mean reconnecting the touch screen ribbon cable to the plug on the back of the motherboard, right?

I assume it is not damaged?

Those little connectors are a real bugger! See the little tabs? You need to push them AWAY from the side the connector goes into, and that open them up. Push them back to lock it.

If you really cannot figure it out, post a pic, and I will draw a helpful diagram on it. :D

If youre talking the DSL touch PAD ribbon, than that goes in way different from the rest. The plug has a door on top. Flip it up toward the slot 1 side of the mobo. Now slide in the ribbon, and close it. Its like a psp or DS fat ribbon clamp, only it flips the other way. Wierd, right?
Cheers,
