ds questions
I can't find the resistance value of r1 and the capacience value of c1 and c17 I melted them off
and has anyone ever successfully put the little black connector thing on the touch screen back into a different mobo? I can't get it back in...

I glopped solder all over and when I sucked it up with my desoldering bulb I had sucked them up too...

yes, mine bends when I tried to put it back in and won't go back in

I assume it is not damaged?
Those little connectors are a real bugger! See the little tabs? You need to push them AWAY from the side the connector goes into, and that open them up. Push them back to lock it.
If you really cannot figure it out, post a pic, and I will draw a helpful diagram on it.

board #1 is damaged, I melted some parts off, and I tried to put board #2 into its case before my trip, but that didn't happen, and I won't get home until jan 1 to post a picture...

If youre talking the DSL touch PAD ribbon, than that goes in way different from the rest. The plug has a door on top. Flip it up toward the slot 1 side of the mobo. Now slide in the ribbon, and close it. Its like a psp or DS fat ribbon clamp, only it flips the other way. Wierd, right?
