You might be right, there. OVer 15,000 games on 18 consoles is only 13 GB.
  • Atari 2600
  • Atari 5200
  • Colecovision
  • Hugo
  • Intelevision
  • Atari Lynx
  • MSX
  • MSX 2
  • MAME
  • NES
  • SNES
  • N64
  • GBO
  • GBC
  • GBA
  • Sega Game Gear
  • Sega Master System
  • Sega Genesis
Thousands of games on all those systems - just 13 GB. I doubt there are a lot more systems that the Wiz can emulate.

That being said - it is ignoring a couple of things. First, the emulators themselves have to be installed, and it only has 1 GB of onboard storage - so they might end up on the SD cards. And second, it's also a media player - so the rest of the memory can be music and movies.[/list]

I destroyed a dead SNES once to see what is inside - with a hammer - does that count as console hacking?

I'm guessing he doesn't use .chd MAME images either, so not a complete set of that either. I think he was just giving an example of what he has and it's relatively small size.

I didn't say my 15,000 games was the complete collection. From that group, I had almost 500 GBA roms at 1.3GB. Each was individually zipped, so in playable form it would be bigger.

I looked it up on Wikipedia, they have a huge list, I didn't count them, but I did copy and paste into a Word document and find out how many lines it was. Even with all the blank lines, the edit lines, the "Title / Manufacturer / release date, etc." lines - it was only 1100 lines.

I have 974 GBA Roms taking up 7.31GB on my hard drive - unzipped. That's pretty close to the 1100 lines on Wiki - if you allow for the non-game lines.

You might have repeats (The Japanese version, the English US version, the European multi-lingual version, the M1, M2, M3 versions) - IDK. But I don't know where else you'd get another 5 GB of games.

Of those systems, though, N64 is not going to work on the Wiz. There are not enough buttons, not enough power, and no analog stick. So you can throw those games out. Of the systems that are left, GBA is by far the biggest file size. So even if it was, let's say 10 GB - you've still got a long way to go to fill up 32 GB.

All the snes games are ~2.3gb. Everything the wiz can play is definitely under 32gb, but at least over 18gb.

Think you might have missed my point, with music and movies and games I think I can have a balance of media on a 32gb sdhc .. you know?!?

Plus i will probably be on emu and might try to make a game or two so it fits my needs and it fits my budget ...

1. The PSP doesn't use SDHC, it uses MS Pro Duo.
2. On Newegg, the largest MS Pro Duo card you can get is 8GB.
So to answer your question, no.

I'm not sure about the Memory Stick Duo limit - but I've got a MicroSD to Memory Stick Duo adapter - and MicroSDHC's go up to 16GB. (Although, that doesn't mean the 16GB would work in a PSP.)
