Here is the Xbox 360 laptop that I made as my first project. Everything works fine except the fact that the console overheats in about 3 minutes. I used 9 fans, beefy heatsinks, and copper tubing to disperse the heat. The only thing that I did different than shown in Ben's tutorial (http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/25/how- ... op-part-2/) is that I made the case fully out of plastic instead of using aluminum for the bottom plate. Does anyone know what I could do to solve this heating problem? Thanks
Update: I did some minor tweaking to the fans, and I created some sort of air duct, and I am able to run the console with the top off without overheating at all. If I put the keyboard plate back on, the console overheats in about 10 minutes. I assume I just have insufficient venting in the case. However, I might just go with liquid cooling anyway.
