Has there been a portable of the standard SNES?
I know of the mini-SNES, which is ultra rare in New York, so I just want to make a portable out of my own old SNES, but it's the standard one that everyone has. Is it going to mean that the portable will be very big, or does it just mean I have to remove more parts? Has anyone even made a portable out of a standard SNES? If so, are there instructions of blueprints?

I just completed my SNESp and it uses a first type (1992) SNES board. It looks nice and is comfortable. You might have to make a custom case though.
There is a lot of extra space on the front of the board which can be cut off, and it uses only 100mA more than the mini.
Look further down on the 16 bit page-its called SNESp Mark II.

If all else fails, take it apart!

Bens CNC Snes portable was made from a version 1, and is quite small, the original version 1 SNES board can have a lot cut off it because it ultizes empty space for nothing
A strange idea not on Nintendo's behalf, maybe they think size matters, atari does.

Somebody please buy my Dreamcast >_> £20+shipping
