dude. you need to seriously take a chill pill. The amount of posts you are making is unacceptable (4 in a row on this thread). If you had something decent to say no one would mind, but you are just spamming up our board everywhere you go. (hint. theres an "Edit" button)
You have to think before you post, and also not pretend you know what you are talking about. Ive seen you tell like 4 people that it is impossible for them to make some project. Well it might be impossible for you (you appear to be about 11) but some people around here are actually good at this stuff, and plenty of people have made a ps2 or n64 etc. as their first portable. Around here, we dont tell people that they cant do something when they ask a question about it. we just answer the question and offer them helpful advice.
Im not trying to flame you or anything (much), but someone needed to tell you this. Just tone it down a bit ok?
ps. dont type in l33t or AOLspeak.
dam, you beat me to it. i was gonna basically post the same thing
Dude I'm 16 and I don't tell people they cant do all the projects they want, just things like lcds without their own mobo.. like laptop screens and stuff, unless you feel like wasting 5 years that doesn't work so I'm trying to save them some trouble, and I posted here allot, because I was interested and was having a conversation with the r4p1d... And I only told one person that he couldn't make a PS2 as a first portable, he was 13... and I don't believe he has even soldered before... So I didn't want him to break a perfectly fine PS2 so I told him to make a SNESp. And I know damn well what I'm talking about.. I accidentally double posted once on this thread, 2 times in total since I joined the forums. I have insomnia, and am up at 2:30 in the morning sometimes! My mind is a bit tired sometimes. So dude lay off...

Also, it's generally not a good idea to tell people to go buy an LCD screen at the store, take it apart and then return it if it doesn't fit. That's IIRC, called "Voiding the Warrenty." Maybe you've heard of it...
Ok, there's all sorts of ridiculous info in this thread.
Vac Forming is not cheap unless you alread have a machine (I doubt he has a vac form table)
That screen will not work without it's mainboard on any portable. Ever. Don't even try with that screen.
If you want a portable ps2:
-Get a screen that has been found to work for portables (go to Portable Screen Hacking)
-Get a crazy powerful battery (search for what others have used)
-Get a cordless controller
-Ducktape everything together except the controller and play
Either do that, or put a whole lot of money into a real case and wire it up. Or be like I was when I was into this and make a really cheap wooden case.
