You should make a Vacume Form Mold of it so that it can be preserved/mass producedMasamuneX wrote:I have been working on this on and off for about 2 and a half years. Of that period of time I can only remember working on it for numerous hours around 2 sessions. It was originally going to be something super secret and then I pondered on making it a Gamecube controller like the RE4 chainsaw controller. What it will be in a year is something only time will tell. Hopefully it

Well, like I said, we'd been talking, I made up some pictures/3Dmodels to express the idea. I can post them to help explain my solution to the nunchuck control problem, as well as a few others:extremesonic wrote:Also with the whole control stick/nunchuck, I'd just make that separate, so your still able to perform separate remote and nunchuck motions. Or set up a nunchuck into a samus/megaman styled glove if you want to get really fancy.
Nintendo might look into this, as it solves the remotes in TV problem. Hard to lose your grip when its stuck on your arm with hard plastic.

Wow. Good idea, but I'm sure its out of my price range.flareware wrote:make the project a Learning experience.. start with a single screen Samus Aran vr helmet with standard composite inputs (use component if the screen allows its). then make a left handed power glove out of a Wii nunchuck. have the c button mapped to the index finger, z mapped to thumb and control stick bulging out of your palm. Now make a wireless sensor bar and pvc piping stand. make a chest plate to hold the Wii and boots for style. now comes the hardest part, make the arm cannon with the A,B,1,2,+, and - buttons inside the arm and the home and arrow keys in the pop up hatch.

um there was no plans for a screen... its just a controler... i was joking about the full body suit...flareware wrote:A high estimatePi_r_[]ed wrote: Wow. Good idea, but I'm sure its out of my price range.
50$ screen
40$ wiimote
20$nunchuck (and you would be waiting for a 3rd party wireless one)
100$ in tubing
20$ sensor bar
200$ in sheet metal for the visor and chest plate (boots would add 50$ anbd have no purpose)
20$ in coffee (for the cans to be reshaped into the arm, i hope you like folgers!)
10$ a metal cutting tool
50$ Bolts, washers, nuts, etc
100$ Spray Paint
Getting your girl to walk around the house in it: PRICELESS
Edit: = 610$ for an fps only controller.
but you could cut 150 off the top with cheaper metal, pvc pipes, and paint. could also use a cheaper screen.
IF you were a rich docter you could even forget the screen alltogether and use a tiny projecter. so you COULD walk around in it by turning off the screen
