How Stuff Works.com -VS- Actually Paying Attention in School
Moderator: Moderators
Sounds exactly like me. The only difference is that, not to sound self-righteous or anything, but Im considered "intelectually gifted" (in math and science) and my school really sucks. I try to pay attention, and I get ok marks but Im really, really board. I hate it. Though this semister Im taking art, english, french, and religion. Arts ok, elglish is boring, french is ok because Im actually learning something new, and Im not even going to get into religion.SpongeBuell wrote:I'm one of the few saps that actually pay attention, as that's what you are tested on. Actually, I never study or take notes. I just pay attention in class, do my homework, and that's all I need. I usually get A's, with a B or 2 thrown in here and there. Liking the teacher helps to.
I know I pretty much finished my post there but just to point out how sucky me school is Ill tell you this. We had a country wide tests in math for grade nine, and not I single person in my school, taking gr9 math got a level 4 (80% or higher)! Im just waiting to see how good the math is next year.
Go howstuffworks.com!

Homeschooling rocks. I lived in england for 9 months 3 years ago and I absolutly loved it! Homeschooling is the best. My mother is actually a teacher so when I go back to england (this summer hopefully, my dad said theres a 90% chance we're going! *Yes!*) Ill actually have a teacher to teach me. My mother did say Id go to a proper high school for my twelth year, but only so Its easier to get into a good university.

my Mom is a certified teacher too, so that helps too. The thing I love about homeschooling is the computer time, my day:
5:30-7:00 get up
7:00-7:30ish breakfast
7:30ish-1:00is schoolwork (mostly I work on my own, which is cool too! )
1:00-1:30ish lunch
1:30is-4:30 computer
4:30-5:00 dinner
5:00-10:00 computer
And the really amazing thing is, for all this time on the computer, often left by myself too, I don't do porn

I vote howstuffworks.com. I mean in school, you usually learn the same stuff over and over again. And how helpful is that? Exactly. On how stuff works you can learn what you want, when you want. And it's all simple to understand. But useful.
