Uber way of dividing by 5. Take the number that is to be divided into, in this case 87. Multiply by 2. Move decimal place over.
87 x 2 = 174. Move decimal place. 17.4.
And voila! Its like magic.

Still, that's a nice little trick.
I don't mind punctuation, or even spelling all that much. Heck, I can read hackaday just fine and they don't even capitalize anything. It's when people use numbers for letters, or don't even try to correct themselves, even when people tell them straight out how to do it, now that bugs me.
Just so you all know, I have caught every one of you make a typo more than once

"I know, I've made quite a few." Took me a bit to get that. I thought it was FRENCH or something...
I have a bad habit of stringing my sentences together with a lot of commas, it's annoying cause I don't notice it when I do it, and I like bananas better than apples, I hope that does not offend you luc, it has nothing to do with you, really.

Well, it would be, of course, quite expected that one such as yourself, G-force, would, obviously, positively enjoy bananas, those wonderful, delectible fruits, more than apples, as apples, which I most assuredly do not hate, are, of course, definitely not as good as bananas.
how do you like THAT for commas!!

how do you like THAT for commas!!
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Hey it's nt myfault my kybard is drty!

That's better.
I like this keyboard, a Dell Quietkey (the small one), a lot better than the no-name CompUSA bargain bin keyboard I was using for a while. This one was really worn out, as you probably could tell from my dropped spaces. (itlooked likethisfor a while.) Well I opened it up, and assessed the damage. Some of the contacts on the switch matrix (the plastic thing with the interlocking traces, like a controller's) was worn under some keys, mostly the space bar. So I put some stuff on them and scuffed them up a bit. Some of the black nubs on the rubber parts (which close the switch and push the key back up) were worn. the ones for the space bar and other common keys (a, comma, period, r, s, t, l, n, e.*..) were all shiny, unlike the much newer'looking nubs for keys like F12 and Pause/Break. So I switched them around, scuffed up the shiny ones with insanely fine sandpaper, and reassembled the keyboard. And as you can see it all works just fine!
I thought the keyboard was screwed when I lost some of the rubbery things, but luckily I found some on the floor and some nested in with each other in other keys. (and I stole one from a dead keyboard
)
Why did I type this? Not just to tell a boring story, but to see if this board will hold up for longer than a couple paragraphs. (I thought it wouldn't work at all afterwards!
) So if you start having keyboard trouble, first blow it out with compressed air (not that pansy-ass canned stuff, a real compresser) to remove the dirt and food crumbs. Then disassemble and scuf up all the shiny contacts and clean them with rubbing alcohol. Reassemble and it should work.
Yay it's still working!

I like my standard Apple "Keyboard" just fine. Heck, I'll go with any keyboard (though I'd really like a nice pure-white ergonomic one). As for the issue of spelling, I don't misspell things on purpose, even in IMs (though I do use brb because typing it out would lengthen the time before I left) and I only use l33t occasionally for a sudden outburst (w00t or equivalent) of a word or too. Strangely, most of the time I do this is in error messages in my Java programs ("f00, j00 must enter a valid number!"). It was actually here during the summer that I gained most of my typing skills (800 posts in a month or two will do that to you), though it also helps that I have the spell checker turned on in Safari

I think it is pretty funny how almost every time somebody corrects somebody else's spelling mistake, they make a mistake as well...

Seriopusly!
1. "a lot" is NOT a word! "allot" is, and "a lot" is a phrase (which is what "a lot" really is)
2. Neither is "the".
3. "your" and "you're" are not interchangeable! "Proper example: "You're going to eat all your vegetables, and you're going to like it!". "Your" is possessive, as in something that belongs to yo9u. "You're" is a contraction for "you are".
4. Neither are "their", "there", and "they're". "their" is possessive, "there" is a location (go over there), and "they're" is a contraction for "they are"
