Exactly! Just, throw in a character creation system and some NPCs.Unidentified Assilant wrote:Four Swords? That is semi-MMORPG, being that 4 players could play at once, it could work like that... GBA Wi-Fi... maybe not.Gamelver wrote:Edit: A Zelda MMORPG? nah, Zelda was always about being the hero and saving the world, so it'd be hard to incorporate that into a MMORPG.

There actually is an online game coming out very soon where you can be either cops cleaning up the streets or a bad guy raising hell. I don't remember what it's called, but I DID see the display box last time i was in gamestop. I'll look into it and let you know.
EDIT:::
found it...it's called "25 to Life"

Well that does sound very, very interesting. Lets hope the PS3 isnt as hard to program (at release) like the PS2 was, otherwise Rockstar might go with the Xbox. After all Xbox versions came out around 6 months after the PS2.
And as for the cost, I know its become practice to have a monthly charge for server use, and I've played PSO when it was in its prime on the Dreamcast. I think it was the first Wensday of every month they took the whole place down for maintanince. If Sega can keep the Xbox/NGC version servers running with an $8 a month fee then Sony can defenity do it.
The Zelda idea is interesting. I'd like to see what it looked like if Nintedo did do a MMORPG. I'm not too sure if they could do a good one most of their current experiance if in single player and ofcoure the Mario Pary series.

Sorry to burst you guys bubble here but I think It should say that a GTA online is being made. And here's the thing... it's coming out for (drum role)... The X-Box 360!!!!!. Yes it's true. only it's not called GTA anymore it's going to be called APB. It's created by the very same man who created the GTA series! So the gameplay will be a lot alike. check it out. go to www.oxm.co.uk click on games look for APB in the list. read about it and check out the shots. heres the article.
Edit: try the URL ( http://www.oxm.co.uk/games/massive_mult ... online/apb )
When this comes out for the 360, PS3 will literly be crushed. People buy the playstation for GTA, but now the maker is going to the 360, who will want a PS3. please note that this is straight from the official xbox magazine so this ain't no rumor or anything.APB created by the man who gave the world the Grand Theft Auto series, APB takes GTA's gang-banging gameplay and batters it into an MMORPG.
You'll be able to choose whether you want to play as a gang member or a cop, and then develop squads, alliances and rivalries as you attempt to rule the streets of your city. The chocies are unlimited - as a gangster you'll be able to customise your clothing, spray graffiti on your turf, jack cars and raising cash through crime, while the cops will be out to catch as many crimes as possible so they can upgrade their weapons and equipment. APB truly is the biggest game of cops and robbers we've ever seen!

well technically it's not GTA, but I suppose people will realize what it is.
Dang it! Why does Sony let microsoft get the GTA games?! That's the only reason why 90% of the people I know bought a PS2, GTA III. But then Xbox got it, and if you can get both GTA and Halo on your Xbox, why bother with PS2 at all? The only reason I have a PS2 and not an Xbox is becasue I could only afford one system when I bought it. I definetly wish I had gone with Xbox.
Sony definetly needs to come up with another hit title, adn this time keep it exclusive! Too bad this ain't it.
