yea i put it on my self. i put a fan on it since then and it doesn't get very hot.

ok guys i got my new xbox but im having trouble on installing linux. when i try to run emergency linux it starts up and then says "sh: can't access tty: job control turned off" i dont know what to do after that can some one please help me. thanks

well i was trying to install linux and i skiped over the fact that you cant install linux on a xbox version 1.6 without a modchip. So my friend has a couple of xboxs and he said he will give me one but i got to check there versions other wise back to the modchip option.

oh and the case ...

you can also just softmod it and you still will be able to run without the disk drive

and the heatsinks i used are from a petimum II proccessor (well thats the one with the fan on it) and the other one if from a laptop proccessor

i had this same problem with my compaq. look up your MODEL number on this site http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html and make sure its your model number on the bottom of your computer and then the right drivers will come up

theres also this thing called the Nintendo 64DD ("DD" being short for "Disk Drive") it had keyboard and mouse input and had a custom web browser.

I was woundering if i used a 2.4ghz transmitter and receiver that had 4 different channels if it would work and not interfer with the controller considering it has 2.4ghz. Something like this

yea I think you can do it I'm working on my first portable and its going pretty good. If you just take your time you'll be alright. Im in the money problem too so I haven't gotten as far as a would have liked. Good luck
