I have a compaq presario 1200 that will not output sound. we have tried installing different OS's and tried different drivers, and still havent gotton any sound. I think the sounds card might be bad.

i had this same problem with my compaq. look up your MODEL number on this site http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html and make sure its your model number on the bottom of your computer and then the right drivers will come up
