ground is ground obviously. I would power it on and check the VCC lines carefully and see what is going on with the voltage on those lines. you can use RGB + Csync for video input it looks like.

if you have an old xbox controller, you can rewire that to usb easily. the GC controller is not going to be straightforward.

you are probably talking about a camcorder AV cable. it has the standard red/white/yellow RCA connectors and a 1/8" jack on the other side, except that the 1/8" jack has 3 separate contacts + ground. if it is for older ipods, i believe that the layout is different than the standard so the cables don ...

the laser might be on its way out. you can try adjusting the trim pot. i know on the the fat models that i worked on, there was also an alignment gear that sometimes got knocked out of place if the ps2 took too hard a knock. otherwise, you might just have to get a replacement laser assembly.

thats pretty much the standard convention.

if your grounds are connected, it is likely that it does not matter. if you have current issues, you may need multiple ground connections or lower gauge wire.

The protection board is for charging.
If this charger is made specifically for these batteries, unmodified, then it is VERY HIGHLY likeley that the charger has SOME sort of technology to prevent catastrophic failure.

yes, the have a protection circuit IN them. not all chargers do, just these ...

i modded a d-terminal DV cable to component and VGA output, however I use a US NTSC system. I have no idea why PAL systems are not supported by that particualr cable, but it might take some looking in to.
edit: looks like it is a software limitation. PAL games do not have a 480p mode.

I do know ...

I have a charger that is like that, but aluminum, and says "Balance charger".

Can I hook that up to the battery pack via those three wires, hook 12v into the charger, and it will charge them without problems? I would love it ...

Yes guys they will work. You just need the charging circuit linked to on page 1 of this thread and then a charger also linked on the first page.
please correct me if i am wrong, but i do not think you need to buy a separate protection circuit. the charger itself has the protection circuit ...

i think you could strip down the cells, but what i don't get is how you guys are charging them.

the balancing connection is wired to each cell, which requires a balancing charger to make sure that each cell is charged correctly. if you guys have a simple circuit you are using to accomplish this, i ...

i hope i am not dredging up an old topic, but i think you guys need a little clarification. these are lipos meant for RC and so they do not have a protection circuit integrated. the smaller connector is meant for balancing the cells. i have been doing some research the past few days on this and have ...
