Last night, i removed the transformer on my screen and then put LEDs on it, plugged +5v from regulator to the LEDs, and then LEDs to 227ohm resistor, then to ground (scrapped some of the covering off from above the screen for ground. i tried testing it with zelda, and when the main screen comes up ...

i had a similar problem last night with my PSOne screen. try this... take the screen that you corrently have hooked to a system, and turn it on and get video going to it. take a flashlight and shine it on the screen, i found that it was actually working, just that the backlight/inverter was dead ...
