Last night, i removed the transformer on my screen and then put LEDs on it, plugged +5v from regulator to the LEDs, and then LEDs to 227ohm resistor, then to ground (scrapped some of the covering off from above the screen for ground. i tried testing it with zelda, and when the main screen comes up (the one with the waterfall) i just get these vertical grey bars. when the screen switches to the scory windows (black with scrolling text) the bars go away or are just very hard to notice. i know you guys had mentioned that you shouldn't remove the transformer until you hook up the LEDs, so i wasn't sure if i messed up there. i can send a photo in a few hours if it will help.

Edit: Oh, i did remove a jump the PS1 fuse, but it did work before the mod.
Edit2: Oh yeah, sound no longer works either, nothing comes on screen when i hit either the vol or contrast buttons
