Look on the motherboard where the video and audio and +5 v goes into. I screwed up the traces when desoldering and i think there lies my problem. I get 5v to the board, but only 1.7v from the video spot. I think it maybe a bad trace.

Ive checked all the grounds and everything is in good shape, and the transistor checked out as ok. I was wondering if there is a favor i could ask. Could you check the Voltage running from the video amplifier to the NES for me? i am getting 1.7v from the left pc board ( as viewed from the read) to ...

Replaced the variable voltage regulator with the correct version.

Whenever i flip the swtich on, my screen pops up and i recieve a ...

That did stop the On/Off, but still grey. I went ahead and ordered a new pin connector as suggested. Thanks a lot for your help.

You can use the RF box assuming you broke the cap at the pins and no just cutting the thing off. Just find a compatable resistor and solder it in.

is it possible for the screen to blink because of the connectors after you mod the NESp? Mine worked prior to destruction, and ive read this entire forum i think.

I was wondering if y'all could think of any reasons for the screen to be blinking different color greys before I proceed to clean it again.

I also want to know if the 1.7v to the NES mobo is enough voltage from the video signal.
