RF Box Capacitor

Post by Beware of Guard Metroid »

I had originally planned on making a NESp w/ my vintage '87, but i ordered a NOAC and I wanted to put my old NES back together. I ripped the large capacitor off the RF box. Can I still use my NES? Or do I have to build/buy another RF box? I'm sure this has been asked before, but I don't have time to search. A link to another thread would be great or a schematic+parts list to build a new one would be great. Thank you.
Metroid fan. Need I say more?~~ ____

If I were you, I'd just leave the RF box off & keep the video amp mod. You can use a 6v wall wart to power the NES (I think 500ma did it), or throw some batteries in the case & take it on the road!

You can use the RF box assuming you broke the cap at the pins and no just cutting the thing off. Just find a compatable resistor and solder it in.
