Xbox 360 Help

Hi, I have a problem

I just recently bought an xbox 360 off ebay. I got it and there was a loud noise like something was in one of the fans, so i opened it up, warranty was already voided, and the noise stopped so i put it back together. Now however the noise started up again and i figured out that ...

Re: Dreamcast disassembly

Unscrew all the screws you see and you should be ok. You can remove the hardware easily and if its not budging try & look for another screw. They are pretty durable, least for me =)

Thickness of wire?

would a wire that is to thin to work have any effect on the hardware when you ran it and it didn't work?

I am doing the gd-rom relocation for i have a rev 1 dreamcast. i was thinking about using a IDE cable, and if it isn't thick enough to support it would it break the system? Even if its not ...

Re: Motherboard Trimming

Yours has 2 layers, There are 4 revisions of the dreamcast ( i think)

rev 0,1 have 2 layers, but have the extra gd rom controller board.

rev 2 & 3 don't have the controller board, but have 4 layers.

I think you should be safe cutting that off since its just grounding.

Good luck!

Dreamcast Case?

I am making a dreamcast portable, I have it working with video.

Do you think that it would fit in a Ag or Zn series case from Polycase.com?

Thanks

I am using a pico psu, I am going to convert the 12v to 8v with a 7808. Would I need to use electrolytic capacitors?

Thanks,

Possible Idea for Ps2 Portable

I was thinking one day and If you can get this to work it would be a really small ps2 portable:

If you mod a ps2 you can play backups from flash drives right? If you use flash drives as the media instead of discs you could take the disc drive out making it really small. The only problem is to get ...

Yea, I have 14 gauge wire that's stranded. Good enough for the job?

Anyway I have a friend who's good in stuff like this coming over, If i had a diagram or something it would help.

Thanks a lot!

Re: Making a dreamcast portable

I don't own a ps1 neither do people I know but..

I found a gamecube wall adapter though, if it will work for powering the ps1 screen

What type of wire should I get? Isn't there different types of wire for different things, Like the screen connection and the battery connection.

I'm thinking on ...
