Switch on Power rather than data means the controller won't waste power, but it's probably minimal.
I dont think you would need any kind of special switch. Just use a slider or toggle that has 3 pins and not 2 (So you can hook both up)

Okay, just a couple of things...
1. I don't want the screen connected to the n64, I want it to clip on like it currently does with the gamecube, something like this.
---------
| Screen|
--------- Clips and Hinge

| N64 |

Re: One Special Project for N64 (Not a portable) - New Case!!!
3 problems I see:
1: no need for a fan, so you can use this as room for the others.
2: As stated above, cords need to be VERY short.
3: Controller to usb is (practicalyy) impossible for system itself....not just some rewiring but a microcontroller and stuff too....

Re: how to dissable pal n64 lockout chip
From what i can see, though, it looks like you'll have to do at least that anyway(tabs in bottom left and right missing on pal version) try it after that. easy fix if you can open security screws.

Re: how to dissable pal n64 lockout chip
Well, I know the way for japan to us is to completely remove the shutters and plastic for cartridge, but i think pal is different. worth a try though.

Oh, btw my dad says that the cartridge connector looks like a standard type, so it should be possible to get a right angle connector for it.

Re: Any way to SD card mod an n64?
just one thing I wanted to say...there is an easy way to make that switch you're talking about. There are many switches that can take two inputs and outputs. If you could get ahlod of one of those, that would work perfectly as a switch for the overclocking bit. Just one thing to note, the switch ...
