Using it saved me 2 bucks
The original power switch is still used, as seen here.

I am VERY proud of these orange lines
The control pad, the Select & Reset buttons, and the Trigger were all 'donated' by an old Nintendo controller. The circuit board for the controls was homemade, however, since it had to fit inside the custom case. I used a Radio Shack circuit board etching kit, the kind where you draw the circuits with a magic marker on a blank copper plate, then dip it in acid for 30 minutes, which removes all the copper except for where the marker was. It's cheap, but it worked.

Naturally, the most important aspect of the control pad was that the correct number of dashed orange lines surrounded it. Since it's impossible to scan a joystick, I designed them all from scratch.

The Atari VCSp. Power WITH the Price
The bottom of the unit. Complete with a silver metallic Atari logo. This was actually one of the very first things I decided the VCSp had to have.
