Well i took apart my psone and was tring to pull out the 16 pin cable. (that is freaggin hard!! :evil: ) but i pulled it and it finally shot out of the connecter and i pulled the whole thing waaayyyyy to far! so any way how strong is this cable ad do you think its broken! :( :( :cry:

16 pin cable, be a bit more specific. But if it's the CD drive ribbon (brown) plastic like cable, and you ripped off the connector too far.........if you got EXTREME soldering skills, you JUST MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE....MIGHT. If you dont...bye bye PSONE.

yes its that lazer cable .. the one your talkin about. the cable looks intact. i hope i didn't mess it up internally

If the ribbon cable was damaged, unfortunately you can't replace it. You'll have to replace the entire assembly. However, you can get a replacement reader from a PSX part place like here: http://www.richspsxparts.com/ Hey... awesome! They have extenders too! So we can put the reader in a more convenient area. :wink:
