Has anyone tried to hook a psone screen on the psone lid?
Like hack it up and then put it on the cd open and close lid?? This is what i want to do and i want to see if anyone has had success.
I was going to post about this in your other thread, but now that I've seen this one, I'll post here.
I was going to do the exact same thing when I started my PSOneP. Then I realize, the screen is a hell of a lot larger than the cd lid. In fact, if you're planning to put the controller inside the case, with buttons and analog sticks in the corners like other people have done, it'll be hard to play. The screen will obscure them somewhat.
It's an excellent idea, but in practice it just doesn't work so well. Take the screen off the system, and lay it over the PSOne's lid to see what I mean.
BUT, if you've got an old PSX (big gray model) around, you could do it with that one easily. Just take everything out of it, and put the PSOne (little white model)'s motherboard, etc. in there. You're going to need to cut out some of the little plastic bits inside the case in order to get everything to fit properly. This is what I was doing originally, but I screwed it up. I went a little dremel-happy with the case and...well.. let's just say I ruined it beyond repair.
