Gimp is being a ******

all right, I downloaded gimp and everything was going fine. But as soon as gimp booted up it crashed while loading the fonts. I tried a slitly older version of gimp and the same thing happened. What should I do to get gimp runnong again :?:

Have you downloaded the GTK runtime enviroment? This is required for a gimp to run. Or maybe it's scanning the rong directory for fonts.

I can't run The GIMP because I have a HyperThreading processor. Maybe you are having the same problem?

I'm pretty sure you can disable HT from the BIOS. Have a looksy.

I have HT, works for me......and why would you want to disable it? I say "Screw you rich bastards with Gimp and PSP, i have Paint!"

I also have XP...since your making a big deal out of it :P

my gimp freezes sometimes but i think that's a video card problem (it was with blender). do you use onboard video? onboard usually sucks

Do you have Windows XP? That's currently the only way that HyperThreading gets used, maybe the Vista betas
