I am done with my noac portable, (except for one part)

Well, the screen fried... i think... see my topic in the screen section for that... but I guess I have to tell the awesomeness! I traced the wires coming from the controller to where they are on the plug on the end, soldering correct wires to correct leads, leaving room for a player one port and a player two port unless you do not want to use the built in controller. Well, I took my yobo NOAC, looked at the bottom and saw that the 9v DC in port in spot has leads on the bottom. I tested by touching the negative to ground and touching the positive from my 9.6V Ni-MH battery to the leads until it worked. When it did, I rejoiced. But here lays the problem. I attached the battery to the lead, which is pretty much attaching it to the port itself, but more internal like. So if I hooked it to the wall, would it charge the battery and run the system or would it Send a shocking 18.6v into my noac, frying the heck out of it? That would be a problem. >_>
