DVD backup

i want to backup my dvds in mpg4. im not too bothered on the format though, just as long as the quality isnt noticeably worse when view back on a tv.

but for some reason there seems to be no easy way to do this without either buying a program, or fiddling around for ages with free, but overly complicated programs.

i just want a program thats free and i can simply select the output and press go.

does anyone know of any such programs?

so you want to take a commercial dvd-9, and put it on a burnable dvd so that it can be played in a dvd player like it was the original?

if so, get dvd-shrink. no question.

I can't quite understand his question either. First he wants MPG4, then DVD... maybe he has a DivX player?
Quite right though, DVD-Shrink combined with DVD Decrypter is tha bomb.

http://www.digital-digest.com loads of information about dvd shrink dvd decrypter, and like encoding videos to avi and just about anything about digital vides go to the forum part of it.

dont forget to get DVD43 to take off protection, some DVDs are protected and can't be backed up (This is said for BACKUP! Don't make ILLEGAL copies!!!!!!)
