what is the best, easiest screen to use

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

i need to know one thats cheap, fast , and easy. something i can buy for cheap and take the screen out, like a gameboy(will any version of it work?)

No gameboy screens can't be used unless you use a special adapter. But the gameboy has to remain intact. Psone screens are fairly cheap off of ebay, gamestop, ebgames.

Hip Gear Screens are also good. They're smaller than PSone screens (2.5 inches), and are relativly cheap when you find them on ebay.
