Ghost Town Documentary

Post by loup »

This sounds like an interesting idea, not exactly my cup of tea (right now that is, I shift in an out of being interested in the paranormal.)

Ben says it's documentary style. Does this mean it will be an actual documentary? Will it be a fictional suspence flick presented as a documentary (think Blair Witch Project)? Will it be a mocumentary (a la This is Spinal Tap)?

From the news post it sounds like an actual documentary, but I'm just curious.

I downloaded the podcast about the project, and I'm guessing this information is in the podcast, but probably won't listen to it till tomorrow while I'm driving

I think this will be really interesting and I myself would am into paranormal activities (I listen to Coast to Coast AM). I hope this one goes well.

I'm still waiting for Port Washington.

I documented your mom's ghost town.

That's really all I can say on the matter. Oh yeah, and I'm still waiting for Port Wahington, too.

It's documentary style. Like something you'd see on the History Channel.

It is not a parady nor will have any fake elements to trick you (like Blair witch, which I hated) We're going for real, and hopefully interesting stories wil present themselves.

They'll be testimony but I don't think we'll be doing any "reenactments"

Also we're going to try and have Port Washington done by March, before we film this new thing. As for the ghost thing, goal is to have it edited and all by Halloween this fall.

speaking of Blair Witch Project.

I remember for months before it was actually released being so excited about the movie, then hearing from friends how good it was and how scary it was before I went to see it, then finally going to see it with my girlfriend (who is now my fiance, getting married in a little under 4 months now) and my sister and one of her friends.

I ended up being so dissapointed by it. The the part at the end when the guy is facing the corner (he was facing the corner right? it's been a long time since I saw it) all I could think was that it looked like he was peeing.

My girlfriend, sister, and myself were all fairly unimpressed, not one of us thought it was actually scary. My sister's friend that went with us thought it was really scary though.

I might have enjoyed it more if it hadn't been so over-hyped. I think my expectations for it were just too high.
