If it's XP and you get the "Welcome Screen" (the icons with the names you click on), just press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice to get the classic (NT/2000) login box. Type "Administrator" as the username and hit ENTER. This works on roughly 95% of computers out there.
This should work if it's an OEM installation.

yeah theres entire articles written on the poorness of winows security. you can also get in with like the recovery console boot discs or whatever. and i once owned a cd that could boot the computer and erase passwords, but it only seems to work with sp1

um...well, on my brother's computer, I needed to use it once, but all the user names had passwords. I started the computer in safe mode, logged in as Administrator and was able to delete the password on the Admin account.
whenever it goes into safe mode, a new Administrator account is, er, kind of created, by the way

Without games my life would have no meaning.

That's what I told you how to log into. It's "hidden" from the Welcome screen so repair centers can get into the machines. You'll then have full admin access to the machine, and you can change your account to an admin I guess.
Why not just ask your dad to install it?
