easy portable

Post by gamemasterAS »

I'm thinking about making a NOAC portable. It will just be the Power Player 3 contoler in its case no moding, a radio shack pocket TV, and a Family Converter to play NES carts with. Of course it would all be held together with either duct tape or velcro. I think Velcro would be better for holding the TV, so I can reuse it on other projects.

so do you guys think it wil work i see no flaws in my plan

Ah, that's much better.

But what's your point?

Velcro? I dunno, I've never heard it done before, seems wierd (no offense).

G-force used velcro for his Genesis Ondago, if I'm not mistaken. GamemasterAS could probably do the same with his portable, but of course its not going to be perfect. It'll likely be wobbly, since there's not too much surface area on a power player 3 controller to velcro to (If I'm understanding his plans right)

Velcro should work, if done properly. Ben uses velcro in his book to hold the back onto the battery containers, but yet, that's allot less weight than a TV. Still, it could be done. Maybe put it all inside a project box, and velcro the TV inside of it in some secure way.

Anyway, whatever you do, good luck!

I REALLY wouldn't recommend velcro. The sheer weight of the portable and constant use will wear down the velcro quickly, if not immediately. My advice- spend a little extra time to drill some holes and find corresponding screws and nuts.
