generation nex

well i wanted to buy an old nes because my mom made me through mine out a few years ago.she will let me get a new one know though.so i found one shop around mebut they sold them for 60$.

so i figured if they were that much i might as well get a nex i was wondering what your opinions were on these.

and dose anyone whant to part with a rob.and last what are those nes game pads for.old school ddr

that would be weird.

I've heard they aren't very good (but I'm not sure of anyone that actually owns one). I throughly enjoy my yobo famiclone, which cost half the price of the generation nex.

the nex has been mentioned here a lot too, check the search and in the NES section.

generation NEX has problems with it's emulation. somewhere in the range of 20% of games aren't compatible. atleast thats what I've heard. I don't personally own one but i have read reviews, pretty much it's a better deal to go with a yobo one as wallydawg mentioned.

If you can build up the money, check out ebay for the top loading NES 2...those things were/are awsome...

well i found ign gave it a 9.5and that over 700 games work on it and that includes the classics zelda smb duck hunt but castelvania 3 dosent work on it.

I have one, but the only feature it has over any other famiclone is that it looks cooler and has built in wireless for the Messiah controllers. Since the Messiah controllers come with base stations that really isn't worth anything.

So like any other famiclone you can expect a certain amount of incompatability with some games and incorrect sound on most games. If you really want a good NES, the top loaders aren't bad (but only have crappy RF. And I mean crappy even for RF), but those are expensive. The toaster is great until it breaks and can be found for $10 at goodwill if you're patient. And a super-8 works great (requires an SNES) if you can find one, but they're kind of expensive too.

My yobo used to be ok, but recently it hasn't worked: Every time I press the A button, It acts as if I pressed start, and the D-Pad doesn't work. No this isn't just a problem with the controller. By the way, can anybody help me with this?
