Old problem gone...new one came...

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Old problem gone...new one came...

Post by Kurt_ »

Ok so I decided to try a long shot...replacing the regulator with one I got from TI.

So I took it off, replaced it with the new one, and nothing happened. So I took it off, but while I was prying and heating it off, I forgot to turn the power off, and some sparks appeared. And it started to work. But it was horrible! Black and white, and wavy and everything. So I took it off and put the old one on. Now the colour gets better as the volume goes down, and the screen moves like a wave. I'll get some pictures...

It's sort of like a permanent degauss...

EDIT:

I thought it was a grounding problem, and I was right. The 7805 or whatever wasn't grounded when I stuck it back. Back to the old problem!
Hey, sup?
