LM317T regulator problems

Ive bought a LM317T regulator for my n64, but i dont know what parts to use to get 3.3v or equiv. Can someone give me a diagram or parts list?

firs of all, change your sig. that's bypassing the language filter, and it ain't tolerated 'round here!!

secondly, google is your friend (pdf taken from the first website found when searching for "LM31ZT"

use the data sheet to find your info.

First of all, work on your vocab. When you tell someone to change their sig, that means they change their sig, not you change it for them. Ive had that sig for half a year and no one complained. they liked it, in fact. Quit being so sensitive.

Second, that file would help immensely if i knew WTF it meant. Can some one tell me what parts they used to achieve 3.3v for an LM317T?

Look through these DataSheets if the one Gamelever posted didn't help.
They usualy contain example units, equations and other such things.

Mike, my vocabulary's fine, for the most part. But you are bypassing the language filter, and that's not allowed. The reason it went unnoticed before is because you didn't post for a while. I'm just trying to enforce the rules around here, ok? I have no problem with any swear words, myself. The data sheet should have all the information you need to get the right components. IIRC, it's two resistors pretty much, that you can determine from an equation provided in the data sheet. The way to wire them is also in the data sheet.

Agreed. I am asking you as a mini-mod to please change it. I am aware that is what the T-shirt really says, but it is still inappropriate for a forum where children canand do visit.

Ok, sig changed. I've looked at the formula for V.out, and it is messing my head up. It goes "Vout=1.25(1+r2/r1)". In that diagram, R2 equals 5K, and R1 equals 240. So, dividing R2(5000) by R1(240), i get 20.83. Adding one, i get 21.83 volts. Is this what the circuit shown was meant to regulate, because it says Vout=1.25? Every time i try to figure this out, my head hurts. Gamelvr, have you sent pics of your GCps to nintendo power? they have or had a section for mods to nintendo products. beats the hell out of a painted GBA.

with the equation you posted, looks like it should be R1 = 240 and R2 = 394.
