Saw an atari flashback system today, would it be easier to portablize this or a NES?

Was it the Flashback 2? (it can play the real carts, while its predecessor cannot)

I'd say the Flashback would be easier. While they both are glop-tops (or small DIPs), the Flashback is easier to find and has 1/4 as many cart slot wires (approximately)

Okay can someone tell me how to portablize it?

BTW: Does it matter if it was the flashback 2?

Yes, as the original flashback cannot play carts, and cannot be modded to do so either.

Yeah I just read bens atari post or whatever. But if it is an atari 2600 flashback 2.0 it is entirley portablizable. So can somone give my directions, I would like to make it as small as possible (knowing that its probubly not gonna get smaller than 6x7).

okay it has

Okay it has become quite apparent that nobody has directions for portablizing the 2600 flashback thing.

But I would really really like to know if anyone has directions. Because I found atari clones cheaper than this, the only reason I am getting this one is because of the cartridge slot. Does anyone have directions to portablize the flashback? Also, does anyone know of another atari clone that has a cartridge slot and is cheaper?

Well, neither the one or the 2 has a cartridge port. You have to mod it to accept carts, and only the 2.0 have the mod. Here is a guide to get the Flashback 2.0 to work with carts.

Stop being an impatient idiot and read the rules.
Making it into a portable is mostly self explanatory, there are ~24 smt cart traces to solder to for the cart. mod, and the audio, video, and power inputs of the board are clearly labeled on it.
